Disaster Logistics for California Emergency Management (DLEM):
This training provides an overview and the fundamentals of logistics, planning, resource and distribution management, and procurement basics before, during, and after a disaster in California. This course incorporates
Cal OES Logistics policies and procedures. Furthermore, it is designed to train personnel in C-POD operations and management fundamentals. These components will provide the tools and information necessary to plan
and conduct logistical operations in an all-hazard environment under a variety of disaster scenarios in real-world situations.


The course provides a broader understanding of logistics planning, managing resources, and the basics of distribution and procurement in a variety of all-hazard environments and disaster scenarios, this course will provide a broader understanding of logistical Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, plans, and systems widely used across public and private sector entities.


Prerequisites:
• IS-100: An Introduction to the Incident Command System ICS-100
• IS-200: Basic ICS for Initial Response, ICS-200
• IS-700: Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
• IS-800: National Response Framework (NRF), An Introduction
• SEMS G606: Standard Emergency Management System (SEMS) Introductory Course
