The Riverside County, California Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service or RACES, is operated under the direction of the County Riverside Emergency Management Department (EMD), Emergency Services Division. Volunteer Maureen Heimstra, K6BSC is the Chief RACES Officer.
RACES members are sworn Volunteer Disaster Service Workers and must complete classwork on emergency management of disasters and emergency incidents.
